Manufacturers should work with AOs to determine the scope of activities performed across the different sites. Audits need to be conducted across all sites; however, the scope of the audit will change depending on the activities performed by that site. In the planning phase, the AO will determine the applicable QMS activities and corresponding audit tasks relevant to each site and include it in the audit program. AO auditors may not audit the content of common procedures repetitively across all sites but will focus on the implementation of the applicable QMS elements across the sites, paying attention to the interaction and coordination of activities between sites.
